THE SERVICE
What Coaching Looks Like in Practice
Structured, evidence-based sessions designed to make a real difference.
One-to-One Sessions
Each pupil receives a dedicated 30-minute session, tailored to their individual needs. Sessions are solution-focused and use evidence-based positive psychology techniques.
Goal-Oriented Approach
Every coaching engagement starts with clear, pupil-led goals — whether academic confidence, managing exam anxiety, social skills, or personal growth.
Practical Tools & Strategies
Pupils leave each session with practical strategies they can apply immediately — from reframing unhelpful thinking to building daily resilience habits.
Regular Check-ins with Parents
With the pupil's consent, parents receive updates on progress and themes — keeping the whole support system aligned.
OUR MODEL

Initial referrals can come from pastoral staff, parents, or the pupils themselves.
Sessions take place during the school day, with the school coordinating timetables to ensure pupils don't regularly miss the same lessons — particularly those they find most challenging.

FAQ
Questions School Leaders Ask
How much does this cost the school?
Nothing. In fact, we pay the school a small fee to cover use of facilities, lunch for the coach, and timetable coordination. All coaching fees are billed directly to parents - with the exception of pupils with an eligible EHCP.
How is coaching different from counselling or therapy?
Coaching is forward-focused. Rather than exploring the past, it helps pupils identify goals, build strategies and develop skills for the future. It's proactive, empowering and strengths-based.
Is our coach qualified and DBS-checked?
Absolutely. All our coaches hold professional coaching qualifications, are a member of the European Mentoring & Coaching Council or International Coaching Federation (ICF), and have an enhanced DBS check. Full credentials are available on request.
How are pupils referred?
Referrals can come from pastoral staff, parents, or the pupil themselves, with parental support. We work with your team to ensure the process is smooth and appropriate.
What ages and year groups do you work with?
We work with pupils from Year 3 through to Sixth Form — tailoring our approach to each developmental stage.
Do you only work with independent schools and pupils?
No. While many of our school partnerships are with independent schools, we also work with state-maintained schools, academies and other educational institutions supporting young people up to age 21. Our coaching approach is effective across all school settings.
How do you handle safeguarding?
We follow your school's safeguarding policies and have our own robust safeguarding procedures, with all coaches required to undertake child safeguarding training. Any concerns are escalated immediately to the school's Designated Safeguarding Lead.
Can coaching support pupils with SEND or EHCPs?
Yes. Coaching is a valuable complement to existing SEND provision, helping pupils develop self-regulation, coping strategies and confidence. It can form part of the holistic support outlined in an EHCP and provides a forward-thinking alternative to traditional deficit-focused therapies.
How do we get started?
